Skiing at Lake Tahoe

We are spending the week with Jeff's family in Lake Tahoe. Yesterday Isaac and Jaxson spent the day at ski school. They spent 2 hours skiing and the rest of the day playing and sleeping! They had such a great time I think we are going to send them again tomorrow.

While Isaac was at ski school Jeff and I got to spend a couple of hours skiing together. It is my favorite part of the week. Just Jeff and I spending time together. We don't get this opportunity very often. I am a beginner skier and Jeff is pretty good so he has to be really patient with me which he is. Thankfully! We spend a lot of time on the easy slopes and he spends a lot of time waiting for me.

They have photographers all over the place so they take your pictures and then you can get them online. It is a pretty sweet deal and the best part is that it is free!

Such a fun week! Thanks to Johnny and Linda!

conferences

We had conferences today with Isaac's teacher. It was pretty cute. I loved hearing all about what he does in school. It is very interesting to hear about his personality when Jeff and I are not around. Thankfully she had lots of good things to say.

Here are a few of the things she told us:

He is very confident and loves himself :).
He is very willing to talk in class and participate in the activities.
He needs to work on sharing.
He loves to dance and the teachers love to watch him dance. She said they often turn the music on to watch Isaac dance. He is in the center of the room and likes to break dance. :)
He knows his shapes, ABC's, numbers, etc.
He is very social.
He is not very into art. In fact he is the one in the class who has the best excuses to get out of art time. For example, "I'm so tired" and "My hand needs a rest". :)

It is hard to believe school will be out in just a couple of months. Next year he will go to preschool 3 mornings a week.

swing me!

Anna loves to swing! Loves it so much. She always points to the swing set in the back yard and cries at the door until we go out. She will also bring us her jacket and cry whimper until we take her out. Thankfully the weather has cooperated and we have been able to spend plenty of time out there. I took the kids to gymnastics a couple of days ago and I put her in the swing and she was a happy girl. I think she was on the swing for a good 20 minutes.

St Patty's Day

Isaac and I went down to the St. Patty's day parade on Saturday. We picked up my sister, Liz on the way. We had no problem finding something green for Isaac to wear since it is his favorite color! We had a good time. It did get long though and we left after an hour or so. It was also very hot. I think it was about 82 that day.

Isaac and me waiting for the parade to start
we love green! happy to be irish!
Waiting for candy
clowns- favorite!
too much parade! fell asleep on the way home.

spring concert

Isaac had his spring concert this week at school. I was nervous and excited for this day because this is the first time he has had a concert. He did pretty good. He did some of the hand actions but he also didn't do any on some songs. He was really hit or miss. Sometimes he would sing and sometimes he would just stand there. They were so much fun to watch.

updates

We did a couple minor home updates in the last couple of weeks. I was never in love with the lights we picked for our entry way and kitchen. I found one I liked and kept coming back to it for about the last year and a half. So I finally just got them. I got the same light for both places. I am going for more of a streamline look. Simple. I have a long ways to go, but eventually I will get there.

pigtails!

Last weekend Suzie and I went to Minneapolis for a little getaway. We were on our way home on Sunday and I got this picture message from Jeff. Anna in pigtails. The best part about it is that Jeff did this. All on his own. It put a huge smile on my face. We put her hair up in one pig tail pretty often but I didn't even think to try 2. Good job, daddy.

blanket addiction

Anna is obsessed with her blanket and it has to be close by at all times. She always knows right where it is. I dread washing it because of this reason. Well I bit the bullet and threw it in the wash yesterday. She stood by the washing machine and cried and cried until I went to get her. I tried to give her a different blanket but it didn't help.
