Our sweet baby girl is just over 17 months old. She is growing up way too fast. Not only did she crawl out of the pack and play at the lake this passed weekend she also managed to crawl out of her crib when we got home. I had a feeling it wouldn't be long, but I wasn't expecting the first or second night home. In desperation of a solution and to keep her in her crib I asked for tips on my Facebook page. I got several replies with good ideals. Turning the crib around, dropping the mattress to the floor, putting a gate in the door, etc. But the idea that seemed most logical to me was to put her in a sleeping sack so she couldn't get herself over the crib with the restrictions on her legs. So we fished out an old sleeping sack and gave it a whirl. I am happy to say she hasn't gotten out of the crib since. (on a side note I went in there after her nap today and she did have the sleeping bag open but she didn't climb out. Fingers crossed) It seems like if there is a challenge for her she will beat it. No matter what anyone does.
Anna has also become quit the little talker. It literally happened overnight. One day (Tuesday) she was pointing at something saying- egh egh. The next day (Wednesday) she started saying things pretty clear. The first noticeable thing she said was- "baby". She said it plain as day. She saw a picture of a baby and just said, "baby". Some other words she is saying very often are- Ozzy, Mama, Dada, Hot, Shoes and Uh Oh. We have a picture of Ozzy in her room and she loves to look at the picture and say his name- over and over.
Speaking of pictures she loves to look at pictures and point at the people in it and have us tell her who they are. She will do this for the longest time. She goes over to grab a picture and brings it to me and sits on my lap and we play this little name game. Her favorite picture is one of my family when we were in the Hills last summer. I think it is because there are so many people in the picture.
And she loves birds! Loves to watch them and loves to hear them sing.
