Cowboy Fever

If you would have told me 10 years ago that I would be married with kids I might have believed it. If you would have told me 10 years ago that I would be married with kids; and we would all be in dressed in Dallas Cowboys gear on NFL Sundays I would have laughed in your face. Well folks, that is what we do. Every Sunday we all dress in our Cowboys shirt and cheer on Romo! I even got Anna a cute little onesie with star on it. Ahhh Jeff, the things we do for you! :)

Grandpa Wally is 96

On Saturday we went to Mitchell for a couple of hours to celebrate my grandpa's 96th Birthday. We are so lucky to live only and hour away and we don't get there often enough. They still live in their own home and do pretty well for 96 and 88. Thankfully they have my mom and aunts who help. I hope I can do this for my parents when they need me!

The great grand kids who were there to celebrate.
Isaac, Anna and Owen

This picture of my grandpa and Anna gives me goosebumps.
A 1 year old and a 96 year old. Can you believe it.
Amazing

4 generations of the ladies.

Anna got really excited and was laughing so we got some really cute ones of my grandma and Anna. We are so blessed to have these great people in our lives!

this moment

Joining Soulemama in {this moment} – A Friday ritual. A single photo (or 2) – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. If you’re inspired to do the same, leave a link to your ‘moment’ in the comments for all to find and see.

good morning!

We get a great view of the sunrise outside our kitchen window.
This is what we saw this morning.
Amazing.

What do you love about...?

Yesterday I was talking to Isaac and I was asking him what he loved about certain people. It was a fun little conversation. Here were some of his answers.

What do you love about......

Daddy? I love that he plays the Wii with me.

Mommy? I love that you get me juice.

Suzie? I love that she gave me flowers to give to you.

Grandpa Johnny? I love that we get to play at the lake.

Grandma Mary? I love that she has tea parties with me.

Aunt Mandy? I love that she took me to the butterfly house.

Anna - 10 months

I am a day late on Anna's monthly update. I took several pictures this morning of what we are up to with our little one. She is extremely mobile right now. I mean walking, crawling, etc. She is keeping me very busy. She loves to sleep! In fact the other night she slept from about 615pm until 8am! She got up around 630 for a little milk but went right back to sleep. It is amazing! She hates getting her diaper changed. I hate changing it, too. She fights it terribly.

Breakfast!

She loves to climb on everything.

Getting ready to create a mess

mess created. This is what she does most of the day.

And she is our little walker. Still pretty clumsy.

We love you, Anna Banana!

"the patch"

I have been talking to Isaac about going to the Pumpkin Patch for a while now. Well he now refers to it as "the patch." So typical of him to shorten it up a little. He calls Suzie, "Suz." Grandma, "Gram." Cappy, "Cap." You get the idea. Anyways. We ended up taking them on Sunday and Isaac looked the part (I did, too with my cowboy boots. But no one usually sees pictures of me). We never even made it to the patch as we were sweaty and hot and Anna was ready to go. Here are a couple of quick pictures from our visit.

fall pictures

On a total whim on Saturday we had Suzie take some pictures of us by the Falls. It was a total whim- right in the middle of the Notre Dame game...oops! But it was the perfect overcast day to take pictures and who knows when that will happen on a weekend. Check them out. Let me know what you think. One of these may end up being our Christmas card this year.

bye bye

Jeff's parents headed South last Sunday for the winter. We wont see them again until early December when they come back for a week. They have been around the kids so much this summer and the kids just love them to pieces. Grandma Linda and Anna really created a strong bond when Jeff and I went away for a week last month. She loves her grandma. The rumor is that Grandpa Johnny is in charge of bedtime and when he tells Isaac it is time for bed Isaac doesn't put up a fight he just walks into his room and goes to bed. This NEVER happens with us. Both kids are so lucky and we are all so lucky to have them. We loved having so many great lake weekends, too.

Congrats Grandpa Johnny!

Jeff's Dad was inducted into the O'Gorman high school hall of fame for sports last week. Joe came from Iowa and Jack came from Arizona! They had a really nice ceremony in the new performing arts center at O'Gorman. Way to go, Grandpa Johnny!
