1st day of preschool!

Today was a big day in the Oliver home! Isaac had his first day of preschool! It went really well! I almost cant believe how well it went. Check out how our morning went. Thank you Jeff! He took most of these pictures as I was busy helping Isaac get acquainted
.
Isaac woke up and came in our room about 7am. He and Jeff ate breakfast while I got Anna moving. After breakfast he brushed his teeth and got his uniform on. While I was helping him get dressed he said, "Mom, I am going to school right now?" And he didn't skip a beat.

We headed outside to take a few pics.

Isaac, Oz, Me and Anna

Isaac, Oz, Jeff and Anna

Jeff drove separate and beat Isaac and I. He was going straight to work after we dropped him off. When I pulled into the parking lot I felt my eyes fill with tears and I had to shove them aside. I didn't want Isaac to get any ideas. :)

Now in the school! Isaac under the "preschool" sign.

Here is Isaac hanging up his backpack on his hook! This was the closest I came to completely losing it. I had to go in the corner and wipe my eyes. He did so good. He hesitated a little before going in the classroom and wanted to hold my hand.

Giving his teach, Mrs Nagel a good morning hug.

Giving Daddy a hug and kiss goodbye. Then he was on the floor playing and didn't even look up once. He was fine. Totally fine. I was waiting for him to run after me crying but he didn't even do it. He is ready for this.

I went back to get him at 11 and he had a really good morning. The teacher told me that no one cried. Which is great! Isaac is really excited to go back next week. I hope it goes as smoothly as it did today. When Jeff and I were walking to the car after dropping him off I finally had my chance to let the tears flow and I sure did!

Tonight he was asleep by 730pm!

Anna - 8 months!

My baby girl is 8 months old today. Such a sweet little girl! She is working on 4 more teeth- currently she has 6. She is pulling herself up and starting to walk along furniture. She is working on waving and clapping her hands. We are working on "so big" but it is not quite catching on. In time, I am sure. She loves to eat paper and she gets very angry when you take things away that she is not supposed to have- very angry. Full blown screaming/crying. I cant quite believe it at times. So we try our best to keep those things away in the first place. She is figuring out how to climb up stairs but you have to keep a very close eye on her. She loves Isaac to pieces and Isaac loves her, most of the time. She is eating more foods and getting better. She is starting to eat little crackers and stuff- but of course prefers mommy's milk! Just the way I like it. :)

preschool preview

Isaac starts preschool on Thursday. This morning he tried on his uniform! Such a big boy. I do have a little confession... last week at the open house I was filling out some paper work and my eyes filled with tears- already! Ugh. I am going to be an emotional mess on Thursday morning. I just need to hold the tears back until I get into the car away from Isaac. I think he is way more ready for this than I am. It is like the start to the rest of our life... all of these new beginnings. Here is a picture of our big boy.

Oliver Family Reunion

Over the last couple of weeks Jeff's family has been visiting the lake. Kristy and Scott came from Seattle. Patricia, Jaxson and Jack came from Arizona and Joe was back from Des Moines. The last time everyone was together was for Jack and Patricia's wedding back in March of 2010. So it was really fun to see everyone. It was the first time Anna got to meet some of her Aunts and Uncles. They loved her to pieces and she had fun crawling after Jaxson and Isaac. Enjoy some pictures of our time together!

Children's Museum

Suzie went with the kids and I to the Children's Museum last week. We had a great time and I really appreciated Suzie's help. Isaac had a great time and Anna loved watching all the kids play and explore. Isaac spent the most time shopping and out in the pond. He also loved the dinosaurs outside that roared at him! It is a great way to spend a day!

Black Hills 2011

We spent 5 days in the Black Hills with my family. All 17 of us were there! We had a wonderful time with everyone and doing lots of fun things. It was terribly hot in Sioux Falls so we were really enjoying the non humid hills. We did things like- rent canoes, swimming, bear country, helicopter rides (Jeff and Isaac- I stayed back with Anna), BBQ's, bon fires, alpine slide, old time photos, mt Rushmore, crazy horse, fishing and on and on. It was really relaxing and fun to hang with the kids and family. Isaac's favorite part of the trip was the helicopter ride.

Enjoy the pics.
