Anna's 9 month stats

Today we took Anna to the Dr for her 9 month check up. We were going in there thinking no shots but she ended up having to get one- bummer. Isaac kept telling the nurse and Dr that she didn't need to get an shot today. We all felt pretty bad for her but she took it like a champ. Just a few loud cries and then she stopped.

Anna's stats:

Weight: 18lbs 14 oz - 50%
Height: 28 inches - 60%
Head Size: 17 3/4 inches - 75%

She is now standing on her own and crawling the stairs....
and she tore off the #2 button on my computer today.
This computer has seen it all with these kids.

Isaac and Anna

Below are a couple of pictures I have taken last week of the 2 playing. It is fun watching them interact together. She loves him and loves to chase him and loves to watch him. He is good to her, most of the time. I do catch him being naughty with her- hitting, pushing etc. It is frustrating. It is a good thing she is figuring out she can fight back.

Anna - 9 months!

Another months has quickly come and gone and our baby is 9 months old. I cant believe how fast these months are flying by. It must be because I am so busy I don't have much time to even look at the calendar some days. I think it is a certain day of them month and then I am so shocked when it is like 3 days later. We are busy with these kids.

Anna is very busy. She wants to put everything into her mouth. I mean everything. I don't remember Isaac putting so much into his mouth. She loves to eat paper. I have found just about everything in her mouth.

She is walking along furniture, doing the gesture to "so big" and waving "bye bye." She says momma and dadda and does a lot of blabbing.

She and Isaac are starting to interact much more, too. In fact last week he was laying on her and she bit him. She bit him big and bad on his face and it hurt. He cried for a long time. She is starting to figure out that she can get back at him... ahh this is going to be interesting!

so big!

Dakota Bowl 2011

Isaac and Anna have gone to the Dakota Bowl every year. It is fun to see Isaac get a little older and understand a little better what is going on. He has been a huge fan of the marching band the last couple of years but this year he is more interested in the football game itself. He said he likes to watch them throw the football. Funny. Below is a picture of him with a bunch of kids tailgating. They will probably all be at O'Gorman around the same time in the future. Funny and cute. We will pull this picture out and show them...
Our attempt a a quick family picture.

Isaac in the Argus Leader

Yesterday my mom took Cappy and Isaac to a puppet show. She told me last night to check the paper since the Argus was there and this morning this is what we found! Such a cute picture of all 3 of them. My mom said they loved every minute of the show. What a fun thing to find in the paper! (It is just too bad they Spelled Isaac- Asaac- oh well).

mark that one off the bucket list!

Every year they have a raffle at the Dakota Bowl (fundraiser for our high school- O'Gorman). We always buy a ticket, but we are the people who never win anything. It was early in the game so I took Anna down to get her changed and ready for bed. I came back to the stands and rounded the corner and heard "Jeff Oliver" over the loud speaker. I was wondering what the heck he was going on. I ran into my brothers and they were cheering and I asked them. They said, "They drew his name! He won the grand prize! Tickets to the Green Bay Packers vs Minnesota Vikings tickets on the Monday night game in Green Bay!" I looked up at the top of the stands and saw Jeff sitting up there and I screamed at him and I was jumping up and down saying, "WE WON!" He jumped up and gave everyone around him a high five and came down. He thought he heard his name but wasn't for sure- as we never win this stuff. Jeff was freaking out and kept saying, "ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?" He was going around talking to everyone he knew. He kept getting phone calls of people wanting to go with him. One thing on my bucket list is to go to Lambeau field and watch the Packers. Of course, no questions as to who is going to this game on November 14th! We are taking a private Jet to and from the game and going up and back the same day. It sounds like it is going to be a super awesome deal. So, one more thing to mark off the bucket list! What a great $100 spent!

We arrived at the airport on Friday morning and I still didn't have a clue where we were going. I just knew it was on the east coast. I kind of had my mind made up we were going to Boston and Cape Cod. So when the United check in guy said, "have a safe trip to Philadelphia" I was totally dumbfounded. Apparently, my expression was quite dramatic. While we were waiting to board the flight Jeff gave me a piece of paper and I was reading it and then I saw that it was a ticket for the Journey concert in Atlantic City! I was excited, surprised and not sure what to think. I didn't even know what state AC was in. Then He gave me another ticket and as soon as I saw NYC on the ticket I about freaked. No clue we were heading to NEW YORK CITY! I was so excited and giddy and started texting friends and family who had been there recently to find out what to do! It was a total surprise and I was so excited. Totally awesome! Jeff did such a great job!

We had such a great time together. We missed the kids like crazy but we really enjoyed our time together. I cant wait until we can do something like this again, even if it is in 5 more years!

Jeff's college roommate died on 9/11 in the World Trade Center. We went to a memorial museum while we were there and found this picture of him. He is the dark haired good looking guy in the middle. Very emotional

5 Years!

Today is our 5 year anniversary! I am so proud to have Jeff as my husband and my kids are so lucky to have him as their daddy. He is such a great daddy and husband! I couldn't ask for anyone better. Tomorrow we are heading on a vacation all planned by Jeff- I don't know anything.. not where we are going or what we are doing. I am so excited to finally find out after all these months of waiting! I love you, Jeff!
