rough tough month--

April has been rough and tough. Here is the situation--- between Isaac and myself we have been so sick! I have had strep throat, hives, and a wicked cold. And Isaac... He has had a cold, pink eye and we just go back from urgent care and he has strep throat! I had strep 2 weeks ago so I could not believe he got it this late. She said he could get it up to a month after I have had it. So that means Jeff needs to really watch it. So Keep my little guy in your thoughts and prayer this week that he makes a speedy recovery. Today after his nap he had a fever of 103. His cough is horrible and his nose is nonstop running.

big night out!

Jill Honermann got married last Saturday and Grandma Mary babysat. We stayed out too late and had way too much fun! We danced the night away with great friends! It was nice to have a night away and not have to worry since he was in great hands. We did not make it till 2, but made it passed midnight.
On Sunday Suzie and I went to Mitchell to visit my Grandma who is in the hospital with Pneumonia. It was really nice to get up there. Jeff and Isaac stayed home and hung out. It sure is nice to have freedom now that Isaac is older.
The pics attached are of Isaac helping Suzie and I get ready for the wedding. A couple from the wedding and the final one is of Grandpa Scott and Lauren, my cousin Chris's youngest daughter. She is so sweet and it was fun to see Chris and his girls.

Breast Cancer Walk

I just signed up to walk in the Avera Breast Cancer walk. This will be my second year walking. Last year Isaac was only about 5 weeks old so he stayed home with Jeff so I could walk with Suzie, Nicole and my Mom. This year he is coming with! If you are interested in walking with us this year, we would love to have you! Just send me or Suzie and email and we will go from there.

Or if you would like to learn more about the cause, please visit.

Happy Easter!

the life of a 1 year old

So we had to go to the Doctor on Friday for Isaac's 1 year checkup. Well, it did not go quite as well as we wanted it to. He has lost weight since his last appointment. He grew almost 2 inches, he is now 29.5 inches and is in the 50% for his height. His head was 19 inches and is in the 90% for his head size. He weight in at 18.12 and is in the 3% for his weight. We have to go back in a month to make sure he is gaining weight and to get shots as he did not get them on Friday. He has been getting his 2 bottom molars in so I am confident this has something to do with the lack of eating. I just hope he shows improvement! He has been eating much better this weekend so I am hoping we are on the right track. I also got the go ahead to start him on whole milk. So now it is the weaning part and it is not going extremely well... hopefully he catches on.

We had his birthday party yesterday and he got so many fun toys. We had mostly family over with a few non-family members over. Isaac was not a fan of the cake. Oh well. We had good food and plenty of fun! I rented a helium balloon machine for the birthday and the older kids loved the balloons! We got some fun pics of them playing, I will post a couple.

We had a blizzard last night. Over 6 inches of snow and lots of wind! I was hoping we were done with the snow for the year. Hopefully we are done now. It is almost all melted already.

Jeff took Isaac out to one of the Burger Kings tonight for a family night and he just called to check in. He told me Isaac ate almost half a hamburger! I cant even believe it! It sure is nice to have the house to myself for a change. They are on their way home so I better finish up before they get home.

molar madness

We have been dealing with what I call, "molar madness" for about the last 3 weeks. It has been pretty awful. I am just trying to get through it, but honestly I cant take much more, and I don't think Isaac can either. It has been really rough on our house. The invasion of the molars!! They hurt and they hurt bad. Here are some of the reasons I hate molars.

  1. Crying.

  2. No sleeping.

  3. No eating.

  4. Crying.

  5. Clingy.

  6. No sleeping.

  7. Big tears.

  8. No sleeping.

  9. Frustrated parents.

  10. Swollen gums.

  11. Crying.

  12. Diarrhea.

  13. No sleeping.

  14. Fussy.

Did I mention crying and no sleep? That about sums it up! Let's just get those last 2 molars in(he got his top 2 about two weeks ago) and be done with this phase and start to enjoy being 1!!

Happy Birthday Isaac!!

I cant believe my little guys is 1 already! We had a pretty good day. We went and had his 1 year pictures taken and just kind of hung out. Aunt Suz had the day off work so she was able to spend the day with us, too. We are having his party this weekend. I will attach a couple recent pics of him with his new hat.
