As you probably know Jeff and I both graduated from O'Gorman High School in Sioux Falls. We didn't know each other back then because Jeff graduated before I arrived (he is a few years older). Anyways, Dakota Bowl is a huge part of O'Gorman. Jeff has been on the Dakota Bowl committee for as long as I have known him. We got Isaac in the tailgating spirit this year (he went last year but was too little to party). So we spent the afternoon tailgating with friends. Enjoy the pics.
Jeff and Isaac having so much fun!
Family pic at the pregame festivities!
Isaac and a couple of his future classmates. (Isaac, Sophie Ellerbroek and Zack Heineman)
Grandma Mary picked Isaac up so I could spend some time with friends.
Isaac has had so much fun this summer at Okoboji (and so has his parents)! He has done so many fun things- jet ski, float around on the tube, lots and lots of boat rides, swimming in the lake, throwing rocks, picking up pine cones, playing at the park, lots of walks - just to name a few. It is sad the summer fun is coming to an end and we cant wait until next summer. His Grandpa is going to take him fishing next summer, and I am sure lots of other things!
Last weekend he went with his grandparents to the lake without Jeff and I. They took him Thursday and as soon as they pulled out of the driveway I had some tears, but as soon as I got busy with some projects, I was fine. He had such a great time! He sure loves his grandparents. They went to the park and for boat rides. They even took him to the Barefoot Bar for some dancing (even though he was not dancin- hard to believe, huh). He also went golfing and did some swimming.
It was a nice little break for Jeff and myself, too. We went out for lunch, I got a massage, went out with friends and Jeff got some serious football time in, too- believe it or not! We went to the lake on Sunday and I was more than ready to see our little man.
Jeff and I celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary last Tuesday, I cant believe it's been 3 years!
Isaac and I started Kindermusik! Last week was our first class and honestly after that class I wasn't sure what to expect. Isaac spent most of the class trying to get out of the door and doing everything but paying attention!
Today was a whole different experience! Don't get me wrong, he did spend some time trying to escape. But, for the most part he participated in the class and kept up along with the activities! At one point he even took the teachers music maker... I was worried for a second he might go into time out, ha! But he did really well and seemed to really enjoy it. The only sad part was when "George" the monkey gave him his stamp at the end, Isaac really wanted George and had a hard time with the fact that George couldn't come home with us.
We cant wait till next week! We got Tuesday mornings from 9:40-10:25.
